Meet Colleen Andrijiw

Colleen Andrijiw, PA-C

Ms. Colleen Andrijiw is a licensed and certified physician assistant specializing in dermatology. She is a member of the American Association of Physician Assistants, the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, and is board certified through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.

Colleen graduated summa cum laude from the University of Missouri- Rolla(now Missouri S&T) with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, minor in Biology. She received her Master’s Degree in Health Sciences and Physician Assistant Certification from the Duke University School of Medicine.

Colleen started her medical career as an army medic in hospital medicine. During her enlistment she received an Army Green to Gold scholarship, allowing her to complete her undergraduate degree and receive an active duty army commission in the Medical Service Corps. Colleen was an officer in a forward support battalion that was based in Germany and moved to Fort Lewis, WA. Her final duty was as the Headquarters Company Commander before her honorable discharge.

Colleen has been practicing as a Physician Assistant for over 15 years, starting in the family and internal medicine, urology, and then pursuing dermatology. She was a Dermatology Physician Assistant at the Durham VA Medical Center in Durham NC for more than four years where she worked closely with Duke Dermatologists and Dermatology Residents providing all aspects of dermatologic medical and surgical care to our veterans. She transitioned to private practice dermatology and is enjoying the fast pace and age variety of her general dermatology patients.

Colleen is interested in the diagnoses and treatment of skin disease and skin care for all ages. She believes in providing patients with the education based on the latest medical evidence and also believes in collaborating with her patients to make treatment decisions based on the condition and patient needs.

Colleen and her husband Steve love being in Colorado! They enjoy most anything outdoors especially if it involves mountains and hiking.
