Meet Dr.Joseph L. Wilde, M.D

Education, Military, Clinical and Teaching Experience

Joseph L. Wilde, M.D. graduated from the University of Notre Dame and Washington University School of Medicine. He entered active duty in the U.S. Army with an internship at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center and completed a dermatology residency at Brooke Army Medical Center, Fort Sam Houston, TX. He completed a one year ACGME Mohs Surgery fellowship at the Skin Surgery Center, Winston Salem, NC.

Dr. Wilde recently retired from the U.S. Army after 22 years of distinguished service. During this time, he taught at two residency training programs and was an Assistant Professor of Dermatology at the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences. He completed three tours overseas, including one combat tour in Iraq. His last position was as the Chief of Dermatologic Surgery in Fort Belvoir, VA.Dr. Wilde is board in certified in dermatology and a Fellow with both the American Academy of  Dermatology and the American College of Mohs Surgery. He is one of three fellowship-trained Mohs surgeons in Northern Colorado.

Dr. Wilde and his family relocated to Colorado in December of 2015. He is an expert in the detection, diagnosis, and treatment of skin cancer. Dr. Wilde provides skin cancer screening, general dermatology, and surgery (including Mohs) at the Greeley and Fort Collins FRDA locations.
