Sarah received her Bachelors of Science at the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana in 2009. In 2011, she then completed her Masters degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, IL, where she served as PA Class President. Currently, Sarah is pursuing the title of Diplomate Fellow through the SDPA, a rigorous and honorable didactic training program available only to Dermatology PAs.
Medical Background
Sarah began her medical career as a PA in Urgent Care, and after a year, recognized her passion and calling was in the field of Dermatology. Since then, she has been solely practicing Medical, Surgical, and Aesthetic Dermatology, and hasn’t looked back. Sarah has extensive experience and knowledge in all things related to skin hair, and nails, and she greatly enjoys educating and teaching her patients and community. She believes in treating the whole person, boosting confidence and inherent self-worth, and collaborating closely with the patient to develop a successful treatment plan. She diagnoses and treats common dermatologic conditions, proficiently detects skin cancers, performs surgical excisions with the utmost care and precision, and performs various aesthetic procedures.
Personal
If it wasn’t clear from her education history, Sarah is a born and raised Chicagoan (Go Cubs Go!). After living in Illinois her entire life, she and her husband took their family of three boys (and one massive dog) and moved out west to gorgeous Colorado in the fall of 2021. They are thrilled to have landed in Fort Collins, where they settled down in their forever home right next to the mountains. They are excited (and hopeful) that they and their kids will become adventurous and outdoorsy since they’ll never have an excuse for not going outside!
Sarah strongly values work-life balance and prioritizes quality time with her husband, three little boys, and her massive dog. In her spare time, Sarah is an avid reader and writer (just ask her about her unfinished, unpublished books!). She also enjoys cake decorating, singing in large groups, learning new languages, traveling to Europe, and, most recently, hiking in the mountains.
