Emsella Urinary Incontinence Chair
High-Intensity Focused Electromagnetic Technology (HIFEM) device
WHAT DOES THE BTL EMSELLA DO?
The BTL Emsella uses a cutting-edge technology called High-Intensity Focused Electromagnetic (HIFEM) to provide an effective treatment for urinary incontinence. This innovative approach specifically targets your pelvic floor muscles with electromagnetic currents, stimulating strong contractions to lift and strengthen these muscles.
How Does It Work?
- Painless Treatment: Despite the complex-sounding technology, the Emsella treatment is completely painless and can be completed in just 30 minutes!
- Supramaximal Contractions: The treatment causes your pelvic floor muscles to contract beyond their normal limits. This means you get an incredible workout, far beyond what you would achieve with regular Kegel exercises.
- No Brain Involvement Needed: The technology works directly on the muscles without needing your brain to tell them to move, resulting in powerful contractions that help strengthen and retrain the pelvic floor.
- Workout That Works: 95% of patients reported improved overall urinary continence after receiving treatment with the Emsella. BTL Emsella treatment not only strengthens pelvic floor muscles in the same way tensing muscles in the arms or legs would strengthen them but also stimulates the growth of new protein strands and muscle fibers. This helps to ensure that after treatment, not only are the muscles stronger, but they are also more responsive, so that you can control your bladder with much more security and comfort.
- No Down time: The treatment has zero recovery time, is comfortable and relaxing, and – unlike many other vaginal tightening treatments – can be carried out fully clothed.
Benefits of BTL Emsella
- Effective: 95% of patients reported improved overall urinary continence after receiving treatment with the Emsella. Many patients notice significant improvements in bladder control after just a few sessions.
- Convenient: You can receive treatment comfortably while sitting fully clothed, making it easy to fit into your schedule.
- Future Prevention: In addition to improving current incontinence issues, Emsella can help retrain your muscles to prevent future accidents.

What to expect with Image Guided Superficial Radiation Therapy IG-SRT
During an IG-SRT session, you will be comfortably seated as a specialized gel is applied to the area affected by cancer. The doctor will then employ a small imaging wand to capture a highly detailed image of the cancerous site, which will be displayed on a screen. This image serves as a reference for measuring the tumor’s size and shape, determining the appropriate treatment dose, and delineating the precise treatment area.
Once these preparations are complete, the treatment device’s arm will be positioned over the designated area, delivering a targeted dose of X-ray energy that accurately focuses on the cancer while sparing the surrounding healthy tissue from harm. IG-SRT is administered in stages, typically involving 3 to 5 treatments per week over a span of 4 to 7 weeks. Each treatment is painless and can be completed in as little as 15 minutes.
Multiple tumors, up to a maximum of 3, can be treated simultaneously, and the treatment dose can be adjusted at each stage based on the tumor’s response.
